ESBE’S PRODUCTS HELP IN THE CURRENT ENERGY CRISIS

2022-10-20

Energy transition, war and rampant energy prices. There are shaky times for property owners. ESBE’s product portfolio can be of great help.

ESBE develops the market’s most energy-efficient products and solutions for heating, cooling and tap water systems. We have solutions for all types of systems, including hybrid solutions.

This is what Henrik Hallberg, Manager international OEM coordinator at ESBE, says:

“The energy transition in Europe together with the fact that Russia has turned down the gas tap to Europe at the time of writing creates great concern. Gas prices are skyrocketing and there is concern that there won’t be enough gas for everyone during the winter.”

Henrik further explains that all Europeans in some way feel the energy uncertainty that prevails at the moment. The energy transition has become a hot issue, accelerated by the war in Ukraine.

RepowerEU is a plan to reduce dependence on Russian gas

The EU imports 90 percent of all gas, with Russian gas accounting for 40 percent. Russia also supplies 46 percent of the EU’s coal needs and 27 percent of its oil. The European Commission has developed a new plan called RepowerEU. In the new plan, the EU must reduce its dependence on Russian gas by two-thirds as early as the end of 2022. Instead, the gas must be imported from other countries through transport with liquefied natural gas, while the investment in renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power, biogas and green hydrogen must continue and be intensified as well.
By 2030, the EU’s wind and solar power capacity must triple.

ESBE helps installers with connections to hybrid systems

“We see that many property owners want to supplement their existing heating source with a climate-smart heat pump. ESBE has a product portfolio that provides an easy way to connect different energy sources to a hybrid system. The EU expects that 10 million heat pumps will be installed in the next five years, and we are here to make the work as smooth and energy efficient as possible.
Examples of products that will facilitate the transition to a heat source other than gas are ESBE’s actuator series ARA600, the mixing valve series VRG130 and mixing valves in the VRB140 series.”
