VALVES FOR HOT WATER CIRCULATION INSTALLATIONS

A system with a hot water circuit, equipped with an additional circulation pump, is a solution suitable for buildings where the number of consumption points are high. Access to domestic hot water is then quick as well as safe for the user, thanks to the thermostatic mixing valve from ESBE.

In a tap water installation with hot water circulation, hot water can reach any consumption point immediately, coming e.g. from a tank, after which it returns to the loop—and it concerns water systems with long transport distances too. In this system, ESBE VTA320, 520 thermostatic mixing valves work exceptionally well. (These are also available in almost lead-free versions.) The VTA520, VTA530 or VTS520 series are other good option, where the VTS is dedicated to the increasingly popular installations with solar panels.

ESBE’s assortment also features solutions which have been specially designed for hot water circulation systems: the VTR300 and VTR500 sets. Each set consists of thermostatic mixing valves and check valves. Circulation sets are compact and easy to install.

The thermostatic mixing valves and circulation sets from ESBE protect users from Legionella as well as from burns. The bacteria are neutralised above 60°C, while anti scald protection means that as soon as cold water supply fails, hot water supply is also cut off.
Hot water circulation systems are most widely used in commercial buildings. The same solution can be sometimes found in single- or multi-family housing too, where instant access to hot water is required.
