LET’S TAKE A LOOK AT ESBE LTD’S FIRST YEAR!

2026-06-08

Last year we founded our British subsidiary: ESBT Limited. Now, about a year later, we’re looking back at the past year together with Darren Myers, Managing Director of ESBE Ltd.

We have talked with ESBE Ltd Managing Director Darren Myers about the first year as their own company_1920x600.jpg

Darren was first employed at ESBE in May of 2023. Starting of as ESBE’s “boots on the ground” on the British Isles and a part of the Swedish sales organisation, Darren handled the contact with our British partners, resellers and installers. The goal was to develop our distribution network and seriously grow our UK business.

2025 was the year when we took a big step forward with the foundation of ESBE Limited. With our own company, we now have completely different opportunities to reach the market in the UK and the Irish islands. ESBE Group’s Sales Director, Jörgen Thelin, has this to say about ESBE’s presence on the UK market.
”We have been present in the UK for many years thru our valued partners and OEM-customer. With our own team in the UK, we have got better understanding of the market and how ESBE can support and cooperate with installers and renewable wholesalers. Thanks to Darren and his team, ESBE has become a force in UK’s transition from gas boilers to heat pumps.”

For the first weeks, Darren used an old cardboard box as his work desk_600x600.jpg

ESBE Ltd is born and starts growing

In January 2025, it was all set – ESBE Limited was formed and an office opened in Rossendale, around 20 miles north of Manchester. The company quickly grew from a one-man operation to a three-person show, with Nigel Raper, Technical Manager, and Molly Laight, Business Administrator, joining Darren’s team. Darren himself considers the recruitment of Nigel and Molly to be one of the company’s most significant milestones.
”One of the most important milestones in ESBE Ltd:s history is, and will forever be, when Nigel and Molly joined the team. Going from being a one man show to a proper team is essential in the success of the company. That’s when the real work began, reeling in the real big fishes.”
Since the first days when Darren sat alone in the office, with just a chair and an old cardboard IKEA box as a desk, a lot has happened. ESBE Ltd is growing rapidly and in the first year of standing on its own two feet, the customer list has grown, the office has been equipped with several proper workstations and a conference area and Darren and his team have carried out several successful training courses and collaborations with trainers, podcasters, installers within the British heat pump industry. If Darren is to be believed, and he demonstrably is, then ESBE Ltd's journey does not end here - the goals are set much higher than that.
”I want to become the highest grossing of all the ESBE subsidiaries. I’m even setting my goals at surpassing ESBE AB (the mother company) in yearly revenue.”, Darren says jokingly (with a hint of seriousness) and continues, “That last part might be over ambitious, but I really think that the UK and Irish markets have such great potential. The transition towards heat pumps is playing right in our hands, and with ESBE’s unmatched quality we will become number one in the UK as well as among the ESBE companies.”

The future is open

As you might notice, Darren and his colleagues are on a straight-line trajectory towards the top. Where they’ll land the future will tell, but one thing is sure: Darren, Nigel and Molly – and probably more colleagues in the future – will surprise us all. And we know for sure that we’re all excited to see what the future holds for ESBE Limited.
